we watched the science of sleep last night, and we all four loved it. my favorite scene just might have been the one pictured above ("all the kitties are playing, and they're having such fun/i wish it could happen to me/but if you rescue me, i'll never have to be alone again"). gael garcia bernal and charlotte gainsbourg have both earned spots on my lifelong cute list.
in other media news, bean and i just watched the first episode of this american life (we were forced to tape it, as time warner has not yet delivered our dvr). it completely lived up to our high expectations; i only wished it were an hour long instead of a half hour. ira glass can go on my cute list, too.

Can I borrow the tape sometime? This American Life, that is. Char and I are desperate to see it, but we're never going to have that cable channel...
