stella

she came to visit us this weekend with her mom and dad. we spent a lot of time drawing with markers, reading books, and playing with the small collection of playmobil 1-2-3 toys we wisely saved for just such an occasion.

it rained on and off all weekend, but we took advantage of a few dry hours and ventured over to deering oaks and the (relatively) new playground. stella approved of the slides and various bouncy things.

especially the bouncy lobster. or anything involving isaac.

i MISS her. and her mom and dad, too.

I really like her playground outfit. I'd like to wear something like that.

I have to say I also like how the newish Deering Oaks playground has many elements of danger: raw stumps, a spinny thing that is nauseating and impossible for children to stop by themselves, many high points from which to fall, jagged rocks. It's how playgrounds used to be!

me too, julie. when i saw her sweater (h&m, buttons on the sleeves, so cute) i was jealous). and i agree wholeheartedly about the playground! it feels a little like a kid designed it, with random big hunks of stone stuck in the ground here and there...
