my mom just told me that honoré de balzac (whose birthday is today) drank fifty cups of coffee a day. it makes my heart palpitate just to think of it!

I have probably 5 cups a day. Maybe less.
When I was in college I was constantly drinking it. Cold coffee, warm coffee, hot coffee, sweet coffee, bitter coffee. Any kind, any time.
But still not anywhere near 50 cups a day!
yeah, i am quite a coffee drinker myself (though i have a maximum of maybe three big cups a day, and i try to mix in some decaf). i would also drink it all night long in college while i wrote papers that were due at ten a.m. the next day! i'm sure i never got near fifty cups. imagine how many times a day balzac must've had to pee.
