dreamy

okay, if you can't stand it when people relate their dreams to you, now would be a good time to avert your eyes.

i woke up multiple times last night in the midst of variations on this dream: i had this friend who was apparently a giant rabbit (kind of like a totoro figure). in one of the mini-dreams, i was wheeling my rabbit friend into a hospital in a wheelchair. he had broken his ankle. in another, we went to see a movie (earth, in fact, which is kind of a propos, since it's all about adorable animals). we saw it at the nick, and afterward i ran upstairs to the restroom, and when i returned, my friend was gone. another time the rabbit leaned in close and whispered to me, "you're pretty." yet another scenario involved the two of us volunteering at a preschool, where we were helping little kids sew these incredibly complicated quilts. one small child started sobbing, because his quilt design was based on some terrifying holocaust-inspired story.

i'm kind of exhausted today after a night of adventures with my new imaginary friend.

That rabbit sounds like a lot of fun! I'd like to meet him. I also had a recurring dream last night, with many wake-ups, but it involved a harp concert and a nursing home--not quite as much fun or as original as your dream! I LOVE hearing people's dreams, so don't hesitate to post yours!

thanks mama d - just for you, i will continue to describe my freaky dreams!

(i also love hearing other people's dreams, but i really do think we're in the minority on that.)

Not sure if you are in the minority on this ....

Don't believe I should share mine though. Half are G rated (Generally Disturbed) .... the others R (Ribald Raunchy).

Oh I love Totoro! My four year old was absolutely obsessed with that movie from ages 6 months till she was 2 and I finally sent back the netflix dvd.
Dreams with totoro like creatures must be like going to heaven and drinking unlimited amounts of coffee with caramel, not gaining any weight and never having to poop ever again.
