I've had the pleasure of reviewing "Mean Mama" and I'm pleased to inform you that your blog will appear on Blogging Women.

Thanks you for sharing your blog with me and now the many readers of our blog directory.

Keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to your future post.

I am Katie? another exchange student.

Anyways, I picked that film out in random from the video store because of possible homoerotic subtext (not my idea). We didn't read the back and we terrified and shocked and so forth.

It was interesting, I suppose-- ruthless and pointless, but perhaps that is the point.

hi katie!

i'm a big fan of your exchange blog! i really love gus van sant in general, and i think these films he's done using non-actors and a kind of flat, affectless tone, are interesting. i don't LOVE them, but i do find them fascinating. this one was certainly full of a terrible suspense, and it was ultimately horrifying (maybe more horrifying because it was so emotionless?). "paranoid park" is similar. tonight we're watching "last days." my favorites of his are still his early ones like "drugstore cowboy" and "my own private idaho."

I love To die For, too...and just realized that I get him confused with Jim Jarmusch ... was thinking he did Broken Flowers
