danielson

i finally finished watching danielson: a family movie, after starting it a couple of weeks ago, pausing it in the middle, and forgetting that we still had it from netflix. it's a documentary about the danielson famile, a sort of christian indy-rock band made up of a bunch of family members and headed by daniel smith, who sings in a crazed falsetto a lot of the time. they are at least as much of an acquired taste as that other crazy daniel, daniel johnston (who is coincidentally briefly featured in this film), but i'm finding myself loving danielson and wishing i could see them live in their nurse uniforms (or police uniforms, or whatever they're wearing). also of note: brief glimpses of david and ellen in audience scenes!
