spring?

okay, so it's still three or four days away, but i really don't appreciate more of this sno-cone precipitation, a lot of it. we shoveled and scraped, and several ambulances sped past our house, no doubt rushing the many heart attack victims off to the hospital. i had a sudden epiphany, there in the driveway: people who don't ski have no business living in maine.

inside, thanks to my friend emily, there are some pretty yellow hopeful daffodils on the windowsill:

and in other positive news, my mom and dad met the dog of their dreams today!!

That ought to be the state motto along with CBHS's new motto: "Everyplace else is worse."

mottos for cynics, incorporated. maybe we should go into business?

don't forget other contenders: "my mom made me go here" and "i thought this school was retarded, but it's for friggin smart people."

When touring with FOUND, Peter and I would think up new slogans for cities. Our two favorites were Phoenix: This Wasn't My Idea; and Los Angeles: Not The Worst Movie Ever.

m has the best mottos for topeka, kansas -- including "topeka: quit poking fun." the others all have bad words in them.

bean wants to produce a line of t-shirts for her school with her collected mottos on them (actual quotes from actual students).
