disturbing

i saw three disturbing things yesterday (probably more than that, but here's what i remember):

1. a car behind me had a bobble-head dog on the dashboard which eerily resembled my dog, minnow.

2. a young woman at the gym was doing an elaborate mtv-style, choreographed-looking, street funk-ish dance while standing on the treadmill. i don't think the treadmill was moving, but i'm not sure. i was trying hard not to stare.

3. the man in front of me at the grocery store was buying a can of hannaford-brand aerosol spray air freshener; two bags of ice; and a huge bottle of coffee brandy. and he was in a wheelchair.
