these are not my cupcakes, but i made some just like this last night. mine had much smoother, glossier tops, but my curlicues were very messy, and i pretty much gave up on them after a few tries. i used the "fauxstess cupcakes" recipe from vegan with a vengeance, and i made them in honor of hannah and daniel coming over for dinner (artemis and crazy girl joined us, too). they were a hit (the cupcakes, i mean, as well as the company), although they weren't quite perfect due to a lack of black cocoa and a fluffy filling that tasted great but was a little too yellowish in color.
