Seventeenth

Here's that feather I told you about the other day, the brown stripey one. Amid my modest feather collection.

I seem to have spent hours today just cleaning the coffee maker. Actually, I also brought all the summery things inside, like the hammock, grill, shovels and rakes, hose, and so on. And I swept all the spider webs off the front of the house (there are all these nooks and crannies that spiders love on our little porch and vinyl siding. I don't mind spiders in general, but it gets a little crazy).

It's completely November outside right now. I mean, it could not be any more November than it is right now.

Thirteenth

Eighteen degrees can look like this, friends. Another chilly day, another cup of tea! I found a pretty pretty little feather on the ground this morning, after weeks of searching for the two feathers from my dream a while back. The feathers in my dream were more exciting, but this is a sweet speckled brown and tan and white one that I like very much.

I had a dream that this beautiful girl was coming home in January, only it wasn't a dream!

Back to work, where I am blurbing, in this order, these words: Shiite, cartoonist, commie, zoologist. Yay!
