we've been having beautiful, soft, constant snow for the past few days. yesterday m and i took minnow for a walk in baxter woods, where he assumed his snowdog personality, leaping around like a rabbit.
after we got home he was transformed into a stuffed animal, apparently.
his paws and legs were full of snow balls.
i am ready to embrace this winter thing. for the moment.
I am jealous that you get snow in your winter. Our is just cold (18 degrees this morning) with no snow.
yeah, as long as it's a few inches at a time, i love the snow! it's only the shoveling FEET of it out of our driveway (or when it's got ice and slush mixed in) that i get sick of it. right now, it's so pretty.
There is soooo much snow out there, but WAYYYY to cold for the kids to play in it. I feel super mean not letting them out but I think it's 12 degrees out right now or something obscene like that. I like my children to have all their limbs intact.
LOVE the photos. SO, how did you achieve the rounded edges?? Beautiful. Happy 20-10, Liz!
erin, that's another thing i hate -- pretty snow, but bitter cold.
patty, i take almost all of my photos with my iphone, and i have an application called camera bag that lets me play with the way the photos look. this one has a holga-type effect (like the cool cheap plastic holga cameras). you can do the same kind of thing in photoshop too -- if you google "holga effect photoshop tutorial," you can see how people play with the edges, etc.
happy new year!
It's truly magical in Baxter Woods right now, isn't it?
Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
Hi there again. Thanks for the explanation. I thought you'd mentioned to me that you owned a Holga and I wondered if that's what you used. Very cool. Pretty darn look for a phone cam, huh?!
