birch

in my continuing "christmas was so awesome" series, here is my gift to m. essentially, i gave him a bunch of bark -- a set of birch tubes from small stump, to be precise. i just knew he would love them (he has a thing for birch trees). they are inspiring us to move forward on our plan to paint the living room. a plan that we've been discussing for about eleven years.

we were thinking a soft blueish gray for a while, but then z. painted a chair (for a school auction) in this pretty pretty variation on the color of our dining room. it's a sea green/blue, greener than our dining room and with a little gray in it. that's what we're leaning toward now! and a warm color in the sunroom!

Is that Melissa color?!

Keep in mind, I'm happy to paint walls for food. ;-)

I'm totally in. Let me know when you're ready (you know, to paint, and to feed me).
