i am in love with the way my dining room chandelier looks from below: this photo doesn't do it justice, actually. the ceiling is painted my favorite sea-blue/green color, and the light and the shadows...it's funny, because normally (from an upright point of view) i'm not even that crazy about this light fixture. anyway, the reason i so often gaze upon it from this particular angle is that when my back is doing the thing it sometimes does, the trick for fixing it is to lie on the floor with my legs up the wall. and the best spot to do that is on the dining room floor.
