snow

i thought i'd say something nice about all this snow, after yesterday's bellyaching. the main thing is, it's gorgeous. bean and i got out on snowshoes last week, finally:
























and even more amazingly, i got myself out of bed around eight o' clock this morning to join m and minnow for a walk around mackworth island.

it was just beautiful -- sunny and clear and windy. and we had the whole place to ourselves:
