But any version of that would be acceptable. There was an article in the New York Times yesterday about how people are still being frugal, EXCEPT that they're buying fancy shoes, and justifying it by saying that, well, you know, we have to WEAR these things on our FEET, so they might as well be fabulous. It made me feel a lot better about my constant shoe scouting.

Went to Goodwill today and bought an ice cream maker instead of shoes. It looks clunky on my feet, but otherwise I think it was a good score.Julie Falatkohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08976000893125010608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8827304.post-29387457112620508852009-11-10T05:39:46.492-05:002009-11-10T05:39:46.492-05:00and what are your dream boots, julie? and what siz...and what are your dream boots, julie? and what size do you wear?? cause maybe you want a boot scout scouring goodwills on this side of the bridge...Liz Woodburyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04750827253619397973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8827304.post-84551604776868485262009-11-09T22:14:19.094-05:002009-11-09T22:14:19.094-05:00I wholeheartedly applaud those boots, and I think ...I wholeheartedly applaud those boots, and I think that they will make you even more of a novel-writer. Because they are the sort of things an author would wear to a reading, and I would spend the entire reading wondering if it was kosher for me to ask, after the reading, not a question about what she read, but a question about where she got her boots. Me, I keep trolling Goodwill in the hopes that my imaginary dream boots will be there, in my size.Julie Falatkohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08976000893125010608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8827304.post-67196121541083952242009-11-09T17:49:58.148-05:002009-11-09T17:49:58.148-05:00i can't even tell you all how affirming it is ...i can't even tell you all how affirming it is to get all this positive feedback on the boots. why didn't i think of making decisions this way years ago? i sure hope they fit!Liz Woodburyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04750827253619397973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8827304.post-23940517330396062902009-11-09T17:46:52.620-05:002009-11-09T17:46:52.620-05:00I love the boots!!!I love the boots!!!Dannihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02201053516148787578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8827304.post-33395121594498183212009-11-09T08:45:57.827-05:002009-11-09T08:45:57.827-05:00here i am belatedly & THRILLED that you are wi...here i am belatedly & THRILLED that you are wisely investing in red vegan boots - good for your feet, good for your spirits; good good good !!!Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03248354058071320551noreply@blogger.com
